Hi I am restoring a 1966 Ford F250 352 engine with 390 heads & edelbrock intake manifold with 4 barrel carberator . my problems are wiring in the dash.   the oil pressure gauge works but the oil pressure light is not coming on.  & the light is supposed to be on when the key  turns on & when pressure builds up   goes out . but the light is not doing  this.  Thank You in advance for any help.  Jim.

Oil pressure switches I've seen make contact with ground when no pressure exists. Use a Volt ohm meter and see if it grounds (continuity) when the engine off and verify that it opens the circuit when the engine starts. +12 volts should be at the one side of the dash indicator lamp when the key is switched on. Other side of the lamp goes to the pressure switch to complete the circuit.
